The Brake System includes: Parking brake, Brake pedal, Brake lines, Brake fluid Master Cylinder, Vacuum booster or Hydraulic Booster.

 

Some of the most common repairs that mechanics deal with have to do with the brake system.

 

If you use your brakes (and all of us do) chances are that they will need to be repaired, and this will occur more than once over the lifetime of your vehicle. New brake pads are modestly priced, however if it turns out that you need a drum, rotor, or caliper replaced expect to see a higher bill. Brake lines rarely need replacing, unless they have been cut somehow. It is recommended that you replace any brake parts in pairs.
